Solo exhibition ‘May Home Stay Within You’ at GALERIA PADA, artist residency PADA in Barreiro, Portugal. 2020.

‘Stay at home! Stay safe! Stay isolated! Verses that have gained a brand-new historical meaning over the past months and, quite paradoxically, unite a big part of the world being chanted in minds of millions of people. As global restrictions decrease widely, the question arises naturally – what happens when you leave the home? How is the sense of the time flow changing? And what about those that don’t even have a home? Or those that have not been able to be at their country due to circumstances? In a search of the universal home, it may be concluded that it is this housing called ‘body’ and it is the thought substance which formats the inner environment. After the period when the world stopped to carve a different comprehension, it is time to carry the home further.

This exhibition serves as a poetical and surreal proposal of a viewpoint to home as an interspace, a boundary line of inner and outer, a fragile mark between life and death and an insight of the impact of natural cycles onto all the homes. During residency artist has mainly worked with birch plywood as a Nordic representation and plants growing in Barreiro as a Southern portrayal developing paintings and installations.
